Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day was one for chocolate soufflé. The picture on the right is the photo that came along with the recipe. Mmm, looks delicious. The photo on the bottom shows the actual results; not bad, especially for my first time. I wish you could have been there to try one with me, we had plenty. Mine didn't crack open quite like the stock photo, or rise as much. I think that maybe next time I would leave them in for a few minutes longer to see if I could get a little more rise out of them. To get it to crack, maybe I could try scoring the custard before I put it in the oven. What do you think? Well, I'll tell you what, you hurry up and come back home and we can experiment just you and me. Oh, and next Valentine's Day, let's be together, ok?

A Week in Egypt

You're off in Egypt this week enjoying the history and the sights. In fact, today you spent the day out in the hot sun marveling at the pyramids and taking pictures of the Sphinx. I sure hope you are having fun. I just wanted to highlight your experience with a little contrast. Do you remember the floor mat in the back seat of my car on the driver's side got wet and we couldn't figure out how because we hadn't spilled anything? And I thought that maybe one of the seals was leaky because we had been in the rain down in St. George? Well, interesting story; all this week we have been having lots of rain and tons of wet, heavy, slushy snow, and then these past two days the temperature has dropped well below freezing. Well, turns out it was the leaky seal because today I went to get in my car to go to the store and found two inches of solid ice on the floor of my car underneath the driver's seat on the floor in the rear.
Enjoy the sunshine!
I sure love you,
Ryan

The Writing on the Driveway
(Associated Press)
Strong winds throughout Douglas County on the southern edge of the Denver metropolitan area are reported to have left interesting markings in the light dusting of snow left behind by last night's flurries. At one Castle Pines home, the temperamental tempest is reported to have left a design on one family's driveway which appears to be a message in block lettering, reading:
