A Cut Above

After so many months of dragging Whitney over to every knife display at whatever kitchenware store we happened to stop in at, and after making her listen time after time to a long list of the virtues and superior mettle of these beautiful German blades, it should have come as no surprise when, this Christmas, she made me the proud owner of a sit-up-and-take-notice gorgeous set of authentic Wusthof classic cutlery. It would actually be more accurate to say that she made the both of us the proud patrons of this perfect paring of precision and practicality. As she put it, she wanted to invest in us and get us something that we could enjoy together after we are married. What she really got me was an investment that I have been dreaming of making for years. I can't imagine a more thoughtful or fitting gift. She really knows how to win me over completely. Now I just can't wait for her to get back so we can start bump shoulders in the kitchen again., and making waves with our new knives. What a wonderful girl. Thanks Whit, I love it :)
